The idea of the First Crush bags is to bring different kinds of recycled paper to new life. Each bag is an entirely unique piece with its own personality. The bags are made, for instance, of old maps, cartoon strips, architectural drawings and gift papers ­which are too beautiful to be thrown away.

The First Crush bags are laminated to protect them against dampness and to give them a longer life. Young Finnish fashion designer Mari Himmanen designs and makes each bag by hand with special care.

Himmanen also designs unique evening gowns for special order. These paper dresses are very comfortable to wear and durable in use. They can be dyed and even washed.
